Here are the steps to set up your POP3 email account on an iPhone 6 / 6s:

1. Access your phone’s “Settings”

2. In “Settings”, select “Mail”

3. On the next screen, tap “Accounts”

4. Select “Add Account”

5. You will then see several default email types. Tap “Other”

6. Select “Add Email Account”

7. On this screen, fill in the fields as indicated below and click “Next”:

  • Name: The name you want to appear when sending an email.
  • Email: The email address you are setting up. Example: your-account@domain.com
  • Password: The password for your email account.
  • Description: You must enter the full name of your email account. Example: your-account@domain.com

8. Choose POP as the type of account to set up.

9. On the same screen, enter the following information:

  • Incoming Mail Server:
    • Hostname: mail.domain.com (the word “mail.” followed by your domain)
    • Username: The full name of your email account. Example: your-account@domain.com
    • Password: The password for your email account.
  • Outgoing Mail Server:
    • Hostname: mail.domain.com (the word “mail.” followed by your domain)
    • Username: The full name of your email account. Example: your-account@domain.com
    • Password: The password for your email account.

10. After finishing step 9, click “Save”. Mail will try to find your email settings and finish the account setup.

11. If you see the message: “Can’t connect using SSL. Do you want to set up the account without SSL?” select “Yes”.

12. Once Mail verifies your account, you’ll return to the screen from step 4, where you’ll see a list of accounts on your iPhone 6. Choose the newly configured account.

13. Scroll down to find the options:

  • Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)
  • Advanced

14. Select “Outgoing Mail Server”, then click “Primary Server” within these settings.

15. Verify that the information is correct, and click “OK”

  • Hostname: mail.domain.com (the word “mail.” followed by your domain)
  • Username: The full name of your email account. Example: your-account@domain.com
  • Password: Your account password.
  • Use SSL: OFF
  • Authentication: Password
  • Server port: 25

16. Go back to the screen in step 13 (click “Back”) and choose “Advanced”.

17. Find the “Inbound Settings” option, ensure the following fields are configured correctly, and click “Back”.

  • Use SSL: OFF
  • Authentication: Password
  • Delete from server: Choose the option that best suits you
  • Server port: 110

18. On the next screen, save the changes made to your email account settings. Click “OK”, and your POP3 email account will be set up on an iPhone 6/6s.
