Setting up Outlook 2019 for IMAP email accounts:
1. Open Outlook 2019 and enter your email. Click Advanced Options and select “Let me manually configure this account.” You can also find this option in the File menu -> Add Account.
2. Select IMAP
3. On the IMAP account settings screen, enter:
Incoming mail:
- Server: mail.[your domain] (e.g., mail.domain.com)
- Port: 143
- Encryption Method: None
- Require login: unchecked
Outgoing mail:
- Server: mail.[your domain] (e.g., mail.domain.com)
- Port: 25
- Encryption Method: None
- Require login: unchecked
Click Next.
4. Enter your email password and click Connect. If you’re unsure, visit https://webmail.spacewww.com/
5. If all goes well, a screen will show that setup is complete. Click Accept. Setup is still not finished.
6. Now, you need to sync your Inbox items. Go to File –> Account Settings –> Account Settings.
7. In the Email tab, select the account you just set up and click Change.
8. Do not change anything on this screen. Just click More Settings.
9. Go to the Advanced tab, and in the Folders: path to root folder section, type INBOX. (capital letters followed by a “.”).
10. Accept and continue through the remaining screens. When you reach the “We’re done” screen, click Finish. You’ve now finished setting up your account.
