Solution:
This problem can be solved in several ways; just follow the steps below.
- Check your Outlook Express settings to ensure your POP3 and SMTP settings are correct.
- Compact your email folders in Outlook Express by selecting “File -> Folders -> Compact All Folders”.
- If you have several hundred messages in your Inbox or Outbox, move them to other subfolders.
- Delete the contents of “Deleted Items” using the “Empty Deleted Items” option.
- Restart your computer and try again. If the problem persists, consider deleting and recreating the email account in Outlook Express.
