Steps to set up IMAP email in Windows 10:

1. Open Microsoft Outlook, click “Accounts”, then “Add Account”.

2. Choose “Other Account”

3. Fill in the fields below and click “Sign in”

  • Email: your-account@your-domain.com
  • Password: Your password.

 

Attention!

If after filling out step 3, you see the message: “No account information found. Make sure the email address is correct, and then try again”, click the “Sign in” button three times for it to change to “Advanced”.

 

4. Click “Advanced”

5. In the “Advanced Settings” window, fill in the following information:

  • Account Name: Appears in Outlook’s left pane (e.g., “Services Information”).
  • Your Name: Name recipients see (e.g., “YOUR NAME”).
  • Incoming Mail Server: mail.your-domain.com
  • Account Type: Select IMAP4.
  • Email Address: Your full email (e.g., “your-account@your-domain.com”).
  • Username: Usually your full email (e.g., “your-account@your-domain.com”).
  • Password: Your email account password.
  • Outgoing Mail Server: mail.your-domain.com.

6. Uncheck the last two boxes and click “Sign in”

  • Require SSL for outgoing mail
  • Require SSL for incoming mail

7. Click the “Done” button.

8. Return to the Mail app control panel, select “Accounts” and choose the account you just set up.

9. In the dialog box that appears, select “Change mailbox sync settings”

10. Choose the options you want and then click the “Done” button.

11. Save the changes, and your email account is now set up in Windows 10.
