1. Launch Thunderbird and click “Create a new account”. Enter your name, email address, and password, then click “Continue”

2. The program will search for server settings; click “Manual Configuration” when it appears.

3. On the Server Configuration screen, verify the settings.

INCOMING EMAIL:

  • Email type: POP3.
  • Server name: “mail.” followed by your domain name (e.g., mail.domain.com).
  • Port: 110.
  • SSL: Connection Security must be NONE.
  • Identification: NORMAL PASSWORD.

OUTGOING EMAIL

  • Server name: “mail.” followed by your domain name (e.g., mail.domain.com).
  • Port: 25.
  • SSL: Connection Security – NONE.
  • Identification: NORMAL PASSWORD.
  • Username: your full email address.

4. Click “Create Account”. If prompted about creating an unencrypted account, check “I understand the risks” and click “Create Account”.

5. You’ve now set up your account.
